Discovering the Enchantment of Taif Rose

A Fragrant Journey through Mecca's Mountains!

The Rose of Taif is a rare and precious rose species native to the region of Taif in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. It's renowned for its intense yet soft scent, reminiscent of tea and honey, and its oil-rich petals.

This unique rose grows in the mountainous landscape of Taif, benefiting from the high altitude and cooler temperatures, which contribute to its freshness and fragrance.

Harvesting the Rose of Taif is a labor-intensive process, requiring hand-picking early in the morning when the scent is purest. it takes around 40,000 rose flowers to produce one 10 g bottle of rose attar.

Due to its scarcity and the effort involved in its production, the Rose of Taif holds deep cultural significance for the people of Taif and is celebrated annually during the Taif Rose Festival in April.

The rose's allure has also made it a popular ingredient in perfumery, cherished in the Arab world and beyond for its exotic and mysterious aroma.
